Speed test: 10 minutes per language, 25 marks each. English passage of 500 words at 0.05 marks per correct word; Hindi passage of 400 words at 0.0625 marks per correct word.
Formula
Marks = correct words × 0.05 (English) or × 0.0625 (Hindi), maximum 25. Minimum 9 marks per paper. No marks for any word with an error.
Error rules
A word earns no marks if it has a wrong/missing/repeated letter, wrong punctuation, a spacing error, wrong case (English) or wrong matra (Hindi).
Backspace / editing
Only within the word being typed. Backspace corrects a word only until Space/Enter is pressed for the next word. Alt, Ctrl and shortcut keys are not allowed. Font is pre-selected.
